*TO CLEAN: Remove shoelaces first before cleaning. Gently scrub the outside of shoes with a warm wet sponge or cloth. Handwashing by submerging in warm water using laundry detergent, gently scrubbing then rinsing can also be done. If you feel the need to machine wash, wash them with an old bed sheet to help protect the rubber soles from getting caught in any machine parts or inside a mesh garment bag (the kind you use to wash pantyhose, bras and other delicates) with no other laundry in the machine using laundry detergent on the gentle cycle. The machine method may risk a small amount of glitter loss. Whatever method you choose, air dry only. Shoelaces can be tossed into your regular white laundry load and air dried. The rubber parts of the shoes best can be scrubbed with hot soapy water with a small grout brush or those green Scotch Brite scouring pads used for dishes. Wipe away the dirt that the scrubber/brush lifts with a wet cloth.
