A gorgeous early bracelet from Tunisia made of silver with several punch marks (moor's head) near the clasp. The bracelet is decorated with scroll work and overlaid stylized Arabic script which I believe is the name "Tunis", the Tunisian capital. This type of bracelet was made for Europeans rather than for locals.
The bracelet is hinged and closes with a push in type of clasp which works well and is attached to a safety chain. It is generally best in good condition.
Inner circumference 18 cm (7"). Inner diameter is 5.5 cm (2 1/2"). It is 2.7 cm (1 1/8") at widest. Weight 24.5 g.
