best Who can resist this ocean themed quilt. This quilt was constructed with Spindrift fabrics from Lewis and Irene. In blues, white and greys, these fabrics include ocean waves, whales, dolphins and puffins.
The fabrics were layed out in striped design that provides large chunks of each fabric. The puffin fabric was used for the back of the quilt, making it truly reversible. A coordinating blue/green/grey tone on tone fabric was used for the sashing and binding. The binding is double fold and was machine sewn to the front of the quilt and hand sewn to the back for the professional look.
The quilt was quilted in a free meandering pattern with cotton thread. The batting is 100% cotton.
The quilt measures 37 by 46.5 inches. making it the perfect size for a crib, toddler bed or playtime on the floor.
The fabrics used in this quilt were washed prior to construction to ensure that colours will not bleed with washing and allow you to use this quilt as soon as it arrives. The quilt is machine washable on a gentle cycle. It can be machine dried on low or hung to dry. Machine drying creates the desired look of antique puckering.
