It has a silent setting where the train will run without music then it has a setting where the train will run and play the music simultaneously. The cord is not included but the globe runs off of batteries perfectly. Had this gem on my desk for show only!!!! It is in pristine condition, no chips, dirt, wear and tear at all!!!
